Tyler Bryce has been teaching and performing improv for the last twenty years all over the continent. While directing ComedySportz Austin, Tyler developed a three-level improv workshop system in conjunction with the Zachary Scott Theatre Center that trained hundreds of students in the art of improv.
In 2001, Tyler moved to NYC. He studied improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater (UCB) and the People's Improv Theater (PIT). He performed with New York's Improv Asylum, National Comedy Theater and ComedySportz.
After moving to Oklahoma to attend college in 2006, Tyler remained busy. He, at one time, directed both Red Dirt Improv and O.U. Improv! He also helps produce the enormously successful Improv Festival Oklahoma, which just passed its fourth year. He recently taught improv to kids through the Boys and Girls Club of OKC. In September 2011, Tyler was hired as an Artist in Residence by the Putnam City School District, where he taught improv comedy to seventh graders.
Tyler recently moved back to Austin, where he has begun producing and directing shows at The Institution Theater. Thinning the Herd has been selling out shows since it premiered in mid-September 2012.
Happy corporate clients include Dell, 3M, Hewlett Packard, The Texas State Comptroller, Pfizer, and The Oklahoma Blood Institute. Tyler has studied improv with various important people, most of whom would impress you if he mentioned them here.
